Slipstream adds sustainability leaders to Board of Directors
A trio of building professionals bring their leadership in sustainability and economic resilience to Slipstream's Board of Directors. As a group, the new class adds to the Board’s expertise in transforming the built environment in line with a stronger, more equitable economy.
Kelly Meissner is Vice President, Corporate ESG & Sustainability at Ventas, where she launched the ESG & Sustainability department in 2016. In 2024, Kelly was named a Notable Leader in Sustainability by Crain's Chicago Business. That follows 2022 honors for the Nareit Leadership Personified award for sustainability and the Environment+Energy Leader 50 list.
Vanessa Farley is the Director of Tribal Energy Programs at the Midwest Tribal Energy Resources Association, where she leads the MTERA Solar for All program to plan and deploy $62M of residential-serving solar projects within all 35 Midwest Tribal communities. Vanessa's passion to bolster economic development, increase resilience, and strengthen Tribal sovereignty will help guide Slipstream in its mission to support Indigenous communities in adopting clean energy solutions.
Owen Hull is a Senior Vice President with Weldon Development Group, a real estate development firm based in Chicago specializing in urban mixed-use multifamily residential projects. Prior to joining Weldon, Owen worked with Lendlease Development where he oversaw the development of large-scale, mixed-use residential projects. Beyond Slipstream, Owen’s professional affiliations include the Urban Land Institute, where he served on the 2023 Chicago Climate Action taskforce, and Illinois Green Alliance's Board of Directors.
