Focus on Energy and WPPI are co-funding a field study on AI-enabled HVAC controls, which aims to evaluate energy savings, cost-effectiveness, and operation and maintenance improvement.

We are currently looking for demonstration sites to join the field study. This is an opportunity to adopt an emerging technology that could streamline your building operations and be part of one of the first field demonstrations of AI-enabled HVAC controls in the country.

Ideal Demonstration Sites

BrainBox AI (Trane AI Control Solutions)

  • Medium- to large-size commercial building
  • The building cannot be primarily made up by operating rooms, clean rooms, or pressure-dependent spaces
  • With or without an existing building automation system (BAS)

Monaire

  • Small- to medium-size commercial building
  • HVAC equipment are primarily RTUs (<30 tons) or residential style air-conditioning systems with thermostat based controls
  • Without an existing building automation system (BAS), or willing disconnect HVAC from BAS
