Slipstream Plays Key Role as C-PACE Engine in Illinois

(Chicago, IL) Slipstream is proud to be part of the C-PACE operations for the Illinois Energy Conservation Authority (IECA), providing core commercial property assessed clean energy (C-PACE) program administration services in participating Illinois counties. Slipstream provides the proprietary C-PACE platform, used by commercial property owners, capital providers and contractors, along with the Slipstream PACE Project Center online portal. The Slipstream C-PACE Team manages the application process and provides technical review of projects. Slipstream’s role in IECA also includes the management of capital providers, contractors, and training.

“Not only is C-PACE financing a powerful economic development tool, it offers a business case for commercial property owners to make clean energy investments to their properties, resulting in clean energy benefits, operating cost savings, and enhanced return on investment,” noted Jason Stringer, Director Clean Energy Finance.

In addition to working in Illinois, Slipstream is also the PACE Program Administrator for the open market program, PACE Wisconsin, in 44 counties. PACE Wisconsin has facilitated close to $30 million in C-PACE loans for 23 projects across the state. The Slipstream PACE Team also provides consulting services for state energy offices and counties on best practices when launching commercial C-PACE programs, developing participation, governance, guidelines, and program outreach.

Frank Greb, Slipstream Chief Operating Officer explained, “Slipstream’s Commercial PACE product is an important tool in moving businesses farther, faster toward a clean energy economy. We are excited that Slipstream is an essential part of the C-PACE movement.”
