Refrigeration is a massive energy suck in commercial and industrial buildings. So much so that tremendous effort has been put into measures to reduce energy use in refrigeration systems across the country. Even though the industry has worked tirelessly to install system controls, there is still a long way to go. Our research team has continued to look for more aggressive solutions in the refrigeration world. More
Greg Marsicek
Team | April 15, 2019
Greg uses energy modeling software (TRNSYS, eQuest, and others) to analyze buildings and energy systems. He uses this information to help buildings owners and design teams make informed design decisions. No building or project is the same and thus there are no “cookie-cutter” solutions or modeling approaches. Greg is an experienced TRNSYS user and has FORTRAN programming knowledge. He is an active ASHRAE member. Greg earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. More
EUI Analyzer
Tool | January 1, 2019
This tool compiles publicly available data on actual building performance alongside industry references. It supports EUI goal-setting for projects that integrate an energy performance target. With this knowledge, users can make informed decisions on future and current building performance standards. More
