Join us for an inspiring half-day event that features multiple breakouts dedicated to helping businesses and trade allies gain insights to new and emerging markets in the electric utility industry.  

The Energy Efficiency Summit includes workshops that cross-cut innovative solutions for commercial and industrial customers, and commercial and residential trade allies. Local and national energy experts, along with Xcel Energy account managers and staff, will share tools and technologies to help you identify and optimize energy conservation measures for your business and set the stage for what the future holds. 

Whether you're beginning to explore solar electric systems, diving into rebate and incentive programs, learning more about the Inflation Reduction Act rebate, tax credit and incentives or navigating HVAC and electrical code updates, the Energy Efficiency Summit will have something for you. Engage with Xcel Energy staff on a wide range of topics from managing power quality to tips for better understanding your utility bill.  

The Energy Efficiency Summit also concludes with a keynote presentation over lunch with features presentations from Xcel Energy to discuss the security of the grid.

Dan Chapman
Sr. Manager of Enterprise Security and Emergency Management

Dan Chapman is the Sr. Manager of Enterprise Security and Emergency Management at Xcel Energy. His primary responsibilities surround the physical security of the enterprise incident response and investigations.

A seasoned security leader, Dan has a combined 30 years of industry and law enforcement experience. Prior to Xcel Energy he served in law enforcement in varying capacities to include investigations, special operations and various leadership roles.

Dan is a graduate of the FBI National Academy; has a BS in Business Management from Colorado State University and is a Certified Protection Professional, Professional Certified Investigator and a Certified Fraud Examiner.

Brian manages a team at Xcel Energy that works closely with elected officials, area leaders, non-profit, businesses, economic development organizations and the news media in more than 500 communities in Wisconsin and Michigan. He holds a Masters of Business Communications from the University of St. Thomas, MBA from the University of Phoenix and bachelor's degree in Journalism and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Kimberly Johnston is the Market Development Director - PACE with more than 15 years of experience in marketing, communications, project management, strategic business plan development and market research. She leads marketing and educational efforts for a number of Slipstream’s clients—promoting a wide variety of energy saving programs, products, services, and incentives. Kimberly’s expertise ranges from executing the smallest of outreach tactics to building entire brands from scratch. She is dedicated to meeting her client and team’s goals in an efficient and innovative manner.

Robin Lisowski

Robin is Director of Service Solutions at Slipstream, where she leads new service development efforts. Robin has more than 20 years of experience conducting and managing technical and policy analysis projects, facilitating stakeholder engagement processes, and designing programs in public, for-profit, and nonprofit environments. She has worked directly with state and local governments and energy utilities for 18 years and in the energy efficiency and renewable energy industry since 2008 when she became the Assistant Director of the Business Programs Portfolio for Wisconsin’s Focus on Energy program. Robin is an interdisciplinary thinker and doer with a passion for clean energy and environmental justice policy. In her work, she has a reputation for centering these passions alongside analytical rigor and the importance of understanding human experience with and attitudes toward energy efficiency, electrification, and other clean energy options in buildings and transportation.

John Houdek, Allied Industrial Marketing, Inc.

John Houdek is president and co-owner of Allied Industrial Marketing, Inc., a company that specializes in electrical power quality. John serves the power quality industry as a resource for a variety of services including: power quality problem diagnosis and filter design, harmonic analysis, computer simulation, training and seminars, and technical marketing support for key components used in the assembly of high-performance power quality equipment.

Prior to forming Allied Industrial Marketing, John held senior management positions for two electrical power quality equipment manufacturers. John earned an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management in 1989 and has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering technology from MSOE, where for twenty years he also taught a course in Electrical Power Quality for Buildings. John is a Life Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE).

Ryan Hoger
Temperature Equipment Corporation

Ryan Hoger has been with Temperature Equipment Corp. since 1997. He was the 2007-08 president of the Illinois ASHRAE Chapter and is actively involved with several gas/electric utility committees. He has extensive experience with building automation systems (BAS), energy recovery ventilators (ERV), variable refrigerant flow (VRF), demand-controlled ventilation (DCV), and other energy conserving HVAC systems. Ryan has written HVAC articles for various publications and has a Bachelor of Science degree in General Engineering from the University of Illinois.

Jackson Schmidtke
Renewable*Connect Program Manager

Jackson will be presenting on Xcel Energy’s Renewable*Connect Program, detailing how Wisconsin customers can reap the benefits of renewable energy without installing solar on their property.
