Help your employees do their best work every day.

A green certified building has many benefits including reduced energy costs (35% on average), decreased emissions, and an expressed commitment to sustainability. This webinar will review the scope of the three popular green building certification standards:

  • ENERGY STAR®
  • Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)
  • WELL Building Standard

We will first look at how a facility’s energy consumption is ranked using the EPA Portfolio Manager benchmarking tool for ENERGY STAR® Certification. LEED is based on earning points for above average performance in eight categories. We will focus mainly on how Energy Performance is rated by both energy cost and greenhouse gas emissions. The WELL Building Standard is also based on earning points for above average performance in 10 concepts. The prerequisites and credits for both the Light and Thermal Comfort concepts will be examined. We will explain how performance outcomes for LEED and WELL can achieve one of four certification levels: Bronze/Certified, Silver, Gold or Platinum.
