City of Stoughton Mayor

Tim Swadley has been the Mayor of Stoughton since 2018. Previously, he served fourteen years as a Stoughton Board of Education and City Council member, including City Council President.  

As mayor, Tim was instrumental in moving City Hall and expanding the Opera House, eliminating lead water pipes, upgrading and expanding parks & trails, building multiple Habitat for Humanity Homes as well as commercial and residential properties. 

He has served on the board of Directors for the Stoughton Area Youth Center, The Mandt Center, Stoughton Area Chamber of Commerce, Innovation Center Stoughton and Executive Committee of Dane County Cities and Villages.  

Together with his wife Lori, Tim owned and operated Pizza Pit in Stoughton for nineteen years, before selling it to their employees in 2022. 

Tim is motivated to give back to the community and provide opportunities for others. In his free time, he enjoys sports, concerts and activities with his four grandkids.
