Rob Crain

Rob Crain is Madison Gas & Electric’s (MGE) Director of Customer Experience and Energy Services. He was previously MGE’s Director of Business Marketing and Engagement. 
Prior to joining MGE, Rob spent 14 years at Alliant Energy working in a wide variety of areas, including Economic Development, Regulatory Relations, and Commercial and Industrial Account Management. Before working in the energy industry, Rob was a broadcast journalist. He is the former Director of News and Operations at both NBC15, in Madison, and WSAW-TV, in Wausau, and spent many years as a producer at WISC-TV, in Madison.
Rob is the current Board Chair of Destination Madison and a member of the Advisory Committee of the Madison Area Sports Commission. He previously served on the boards of the Wisconsin Innovation Awards, and the Wisconsin Public Utility Institute. He earned a certificate in strategy of leadership from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and earned his bachelor’s degree from UW–Madison.
