Bill's entire professional experience centers around issues concerning building science especially related to indoor air quality including radon. His base of operation is the University of Minnesota where he is a Professor responsible for directing a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Regional Radon Training Center as well as conducting applied research and policy development.

Bill's professional goal is to prevent lung cancer deaths associated with indoor radon exposure and to improve the environmental health of building occupants.
