Building Toward Zero Carbon with Grid Flexibility

This webinar outlines how homes and businesses serve as significant assets to the grid of the future. In this session, we learn of tools and technologies available now and in the future to meet our net-zero goals. Building a zero-carbon world means taking advantage of grid flexibility when it comes to grid-interactive efficient buildings (GEBs). The technologies needed to propel us toward our state and utility goals of net-zero carbon by 2050 are discussed, focusing on GEBs, and highlighting specific emerging technologies that provide flexibility on the demand side and engage customers with their utilities.
 
The webinar begins with a presentation on GEBs, the technologies used to encourage efficiency, the metrics involved, the end goals, and why energy efficiency is relevant even with renewables in the mix. This is followed by expert panelists who discuss GEBs as they are now, smart neighborhoods vs. standard neighborhoods, and Wisconsin's possibilities.
