Can prepay energy programs save you money?
Imagine heading to the grocery store with your list of ingredients for your meals for the next month. Then, imagine not seeing prices listed for any items and not being charged for anything until the month is over. So, you have four weeks’ worth of groceries that you have consumed but no clue how much you spent on them. This is how our energy bills work. Electricity is one of the few things in life we pay for well after we use it.

Small Embedded Data Centers: Energy Efficiency Program Recommendations for ComEd
In this study, we discover energy efficiency opportunities that can reduce SEDC energy consumption by 8–20% when multiple measures are used. Our team quantifies energy savings potential in the SEDC market for Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. We identify a set of energy efficiency measures with the greatest savings potential and least barriers to adoption. We also interview service providers to get their input on possible program interventions to increase energy efficiency.
